Dr. Verity Stow, BSc, DC, MSc

“Dr. Verity Stow grew up in Langley, BC Canada. She graduated from the University of Western States with a Doctor of Chiropractic and a Masters of Sports Medicine. Since moving back to Canada, Dr. Verity has been practicing on the North Shore and loves it. Dr. Verity is a certified full body Active Release Technique (ART) provider, as well as an enthusiastic running form and gait biomechanics specialist. She is experienced in chiropractic manipulation (HVLA diversified technique), DNS, NDS and various soft tissue manipulation techniques, which allows her to treat biomechanical and musculoskeletal issues in an efficient and effective manner. Dr. Verity also thoroughly enjoys helping the prepartum and postpartum population have strong, healthy pregnancies, that then have thriving return to life and sport.

Dr. Verity has always been keen about a variety of sports and outdoor activities. Before becoming a DC, she competitively show jumped horses nationally and internationally. Now, Dr. Verity’s favourite weekend activities are running (road & trail), and bagging hikes, summits and climbing routes. Due to these experiences, she understands the high-level stress and high standards required of athletes at all levels. Dr. Verity relates to the frustrations of having to “sit one out” as she has had her fair share of injuries related, and non-related, to working with horses. This gave Dr. Verity the passion to help people avoid biomechanical issues that can lead to injuries, and to achieve their goals in sports and life.”

“Dr. Verity wants the chiropractic profession to have better research, better funding, and more science-based evidence to support chiropractic MSK care. She is passionate about pushing the chiropractic profession to be more science-based and integrated into the health care system. Dr. Verity has experience in discussing productive similarities and differences with other medical and non-medical professionals; as well as previous experience in the science and evidence world – with writing scientific reports (BSc in Chemistry, MSc in Sports Medicine). Also, previously volunteering in multiple senior homes, and at Peace Arch Hospital ER has given Dr. Verity the ability to communicate and work as part of a health care team for patient care.”
